Zara Home sales trump Zara

Inditex-owned household furnishings brand Zara Home closed the first half-year with sales rising by 30%, reports Modaes. This is significantly greater than the 4% reported by the company’s flagship brand Zara. This only saw sales grow by 4% in the same period. Last year, Zara saw a 20% increase in sales while Zara Home grew 12%. Nevertheless, Zara Home has opened fewer stores in the first half (just six) compared to 19 net openings for Zara. Massimo Dutti was another star performer with sales up 17% and Pull & Bear, the retailer's young fashion banner , seeing sales rise 13%. Planet Retail
