Yum! Brands seeks Russian growth through franchising

Yum! Brands plans to open between 60-70 restaurants in Russia and other Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) in 2013, reports QSRweb. The company is seeking new franchise partners to help with this expansion strategy. Yum! Brands currently operates about 216 restaurants in CIS. Through franchising, Yum opened 35 restaurants in the CIS in 2012. According to reports, the company intends to nearly double its outlet numbers to around 460 in the region by 2015.
