X5 increases number of stores in Urals

Russia-based X5 Retail Group has increased the number of its stores in the Urals by 15% in the first half of 2009, increasing the number of stores to 150. Aleksey Krasnikov, the Director of the X5 Retail Group Urals revealed that X5’s January to September sales in the region grew 11% in comparison to the same period last year. Growth of the like-for-like traffic in all retail formats in the third quarter 2009 amounted to 18.6% year on year.
