Tesco to introduce euro-sterling pricing parity in Ireland
UK retailer Tesco has unveiled plans to introduce euro-sterling parity pricing on all of its 7,500 clothing lines. This will make clothing and fashion goods 7% cheaper in the Republic of Ireland compared to Northern Ireland. It amounts to a cut of around 30% on prices being charged by the grocer in the Republic of Ireland. Tesco's Commercial Director Jacqueline O'Neill said customers need not travel to Northern Ireland as they will now benefit from this initiative at home.
