Svyaznoy offering Visa card top-up service

Russia-based Svyaznoy has started offering its customers the facility to top up Visa bank cards at the point of sale. The service, run together with payment system providers CyberPlat and Visa, is available in all of the mobile phone retailer's approximately 3,000 stores located across 817 cities in the country.

The service no longer requires contact with the issuing bank. Customers just need to give the cashier their card number and state the necessary amount. The transfer of funds to the Visa card takes several minutes to two business days, depending on the user's bank.
