SuperValu Save-A-Lot makes executive changes
In the USA, SuperValu-owned Save-A-Lot has announced several executive changes. Bill Gillispie, who has held positions at sister chains Scott's, Cub Foods and Jewel, has been appointed to the role of Senior Vice President of Marketing and Merchandising. Former Save-A-Lot operator Tom Lenkevich was named Senior Vice President of Retail Operations. Andrea Wagner, who has held positions at Kroger and H-E-B, has been appointed to the role of Vice President of Consumer Brand Strategy, and Vanessa Foster has been named Director of Communications and Community Relations. Save-A-Lot also announced several promotions including the appointment of John Gerber to the role of Vice President of Distribution. Gerber has held various positions within SuperValu since 1985 and joined the Save-A-Lot division in 2002. Mike Kemp was promoted to the role of Vice President of Product Segments. He joined the company in 2003 and has managed the chain’s procurement of meat and perishables. It was also announced that Donna Mickens has been promoted to the role of Director of Organisation Effectiveness.
