Marks & Spencer to sell Amelia’s apple for charity
According to the Grocer, a new variety of apple has been launched into Marks & Spencer’s stores called Amelia’s apple, to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity in the UK. Grown in Kent and supplied by Worldwide Fruit, the apple has a yellow colour and is said to have a distinct yellow fizz. The apple is currently available in 25 stores at a price of GBP1.99 for a pack of four, with 10% from the sale of every pack going to the children’s charity.
