KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants open Moldova

KFC and Pizza Hut restaurants will soon open in Chisinau, Moldova, as their franchisees, US Food Network and American Restaurant System respectively, have obtained rights for the country. Marian Gogu, KFC brand manager, said: "The first KFC restaurant will be opened in a shopping centre in Chisinau at a cost of EUR300,000 (USD431,700) to EUR500,000 (USD719,500). The investment will depend on the development of the financial market in Moldova and the prices of building materials." Ovidiu Albu, Pizza Hut General Director, added that a sum of about EUR500,000 (USD719,500) will also be invested in the Pizza Hut restaurant in the same shopping centre. It will occupy an area of 250 square metres to host 100 customers.
