Carrefour France punished more severely on appeal for resale at loss

French retailer Carrefour has been sentenced more severely on appeal for reselling at a loss by the Court of Appeal in Paris. The court increased the fine of EUR200,000 (USD268,000) to EUR300,000 (USD403,000). Regarding the "back margins", the court upheld the penalty of EUR300,000 (USD403,000) imposed on Carrefour and its central purchasing centre Interdis. It is the second time in two months that the Court of Appeal of Paris has condemned Carrefour for its business practices.
