Booths launches discount brand, posts Xmas update
Booths has introduced a range of private label products to help families save money on their household shopping bills. Booths’ new discount brands range includes more than 170 products from rice and biscuits to hairspray and soap, as well as coffee and whisky. Each product has been competitively price matched for quality and taste against other leading retailers’ own brand products. Booths has also announced that sales for its 12 day Christmas trading period grew by 3.9% on a like-for-like basis. Edwin Booth, Group Chairman, said: "Despite challenging market conditions, we are pleased with the results. 2009 will be a difficult year for a lot of businesses and we are committed to being competitive on price, whilst maintaining the quality of our offer."
