Ahold Albert Heijn averts strike
The Dutch trade union CNV has announced this morning that it has reached an agreement with Ahold-owned Albert Heijn, averting strike action at the chain’s distribution centres which was due to begin today. The agreement with Ahold includes a 3.25% pay increase, the CNV said. Albert Heijn has six distribution centres in the Netherlands supplying around 800 supermarkets.
